Our Company
Here are some of the landmarks that have marked the highs—and
some of the lows—of Dale Supply Company:
- June, 2004 - Named Westinghouse distributor for Tennessee and
expanded Maytag distribution to cover West Tennessee
- May, 2003 - Opened Knoxville, TN branch
- October, 2002- Named Maytag distributor for Middle and
East Tennessee
- April, 2002 - Began distribution of Gibson residential and light
commercial HVAC equipment.
- July 7, 1999 - J.H. Holliday deceased.
- 1998 - Residential materials product lines were added.
- 1998 - Universal parts products lines were added.
- 1998 - Distribution of Bard HVAC equipment began.
- 1997 - Kent Kendrick Purchased majority interest in company, (formerly President of Comfort Supply).
- 1992 - J.H. Holliday retired and Ron Dyer named President.
- 1980 to 2000 - Distributed York Heating and Air Conditioning
equipment.
- 1975 - Day & Night cancels all distribution east of the Rockies. The company
began to distribute Mueller Climatrol and ultimately Fedders.
- 1969 - Profit Sharing Plan installed.
- 1969 - Luxaire and Westinghouse were dropped. Began distribution of Day and Night air conditioning equipment.
- 1968 - J.H. Holliday acquires father's interest in company.
- 1967 - Pension Plan installed.
- 1960 - Westinghouse product lines began to be distributed.
- 1959 - Luxaire line added and residential air conditioning market
began to grow.
- 1957 - J. H. Holliday acquired Harry Moores interest in company.
- 1957 - Temco goes direct. Employment at Dale Supply goes from 15 to 6. Dale Supply
made and agreement with Martin Industries to distribute there gas heating product lines - and still does today.
- 1956 - 70% of company sales were from Temco gas room and floor furnaces.
On August 5, 1955, the wholesale division of the company was sold to J.H. Holliday, Jr., President from 1955 to 1992, J.H. Holliday, Sr. and Harry Moore. Albert Dale continues the retail store today known as Dale Insulation Company.
- February 1953 - Dale Supply Company is incorporated by Albert J. Dale, and today is the oldest gas products distributor
in middle Tennessee.
